Delta BEC’s scope included the feasibility design and layout development of all mine site support infrastructure, encompassing access and haul roads, internal mine roads, operational platforms, workshops, offices, change houses, parking areas, stockpiles, fuel and service areas, and associated support facilities. The team developed engineering requirements for bulk and potable water supply, fire-water systems, sewage reticulation and treatment, stormwater and polluted-water management, dust suppression systems, waste management facilities, and clean and dirty water separation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Delta Built Environment Consultants (Delta BEC) was appointed by WSP on behalf of Glencore Operations South Africa (GOSA) to provide essential civil engineering services for the Water Use License Application (WULA) at the Goedgevonden Coal Mine in Ogies, Mpumalanga. As part of this project, our municipal infrastructure department delivered detailed stormwater management designs for a coal discard transfer point.
