Project insights

Delta Built Environment Consultants (Delta BEC) was appointed by ARCIS Property Development to oversee the design and construction supervision of the civil and structural works for the new Woodlands Estate in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. This upscale residential development includes 110 double-storey units, an entrance gatehouse, and a communal clubhouse with a swimming pool, all while integrating a wetland area in the northern portion of the erf for a nature-friendly aesthetic.

The location presented engineering challenges such as steep slopes, poor soil conditions, and environmental restrictions surrounding the wetland. In response, Delta BEC provided comprehensive civil and structural engineering services, including site assessments, design solutions, and thorough construction supervision. Our team implemented innovative strategies to address the challenges, focusing on retaining walls and proper drainage systems to ensure stability and functionality. We also worked closely with environmental specialists to align the project with sustainable practices while meeting all regulatory standards. Through our expertise, we ensured that the project remained feasible for the client while delivering high-quality, environmentally conscious solutions.
