Project insights

Delta Built Environment Consultants (Delta BEC) was appointed by Golder Associates AB to provide a full range of engineering support services for the Nordic Iron Ore – Blötberget Complex, an underground iron ore mine located in Dalarnas County, Sweden.

Delta BEC’s scope of work includes producing detailed designs for the mine site to Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) standards. The development will incorporate all site infrastructure and access roads, based on survey plans and coordinates provided by the client. These include land boundaries, topographical contours, local roads, and shaft location data.

Designs will be based on confirmed manpower and production figures, and will cover both surface and underground infrastructure. Deliverables will include 2D and 3D building drawings, structural and foundation recommendations, and all supporting documentation required for DFS-level design. Where practical, the work will integrate Green Building principles and include environmental sensitivity and risk analyses.

All designs will comply with Swedish Building and Mining Laws, relevant statutory requirements, best practice norms, and client specifications. Final documentation will be reviewed and approved by suitably qualified, professionally registered engineers.

Delta BEC will prepare both draft and final reports, with time allocated for client review. The final deliverables will include one complete PDF copy and a second in native formats (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.), along with exportable data from any specialist software used.
