Delta Built Environment Consultants (Delta BEC) was appointed by DG Consulting to compile a report for the cleaning of the existing sewer treatment ponds at Tonga Village in Mpumalanga. The activity formed part of an agreement between Tonga Retail (Pty) Ltd and the local municipality to enable a new development to connect to the existing sewer infrastructure.

Delta BEC compiled a proposed method statement for the cleaning of the ponds, which included:

• Draining the fluid
• Dumping and treating the sludge
• Maintaining the vegetation.
